We are inviting you to attend the 2010 Tri Regional Clinical Conference — formerly known as the EPF-NAPsaC Conference — which will take place next summer in Portugal, from Thursday evening, July 22 ,to Sunday, July 25. This clinical conference, which has been meting bi-annually since 1990 as a joint offering of the EPF and NAPsaC, was recently renamed, following a decision by the three IPA regional groups to join together to sponsor the event. This summer’s meeting will therefore be the first to be known as the Tri-Regional Conference, and will be held just outside of Lisbon in the coastal town of Cascais, at the Hotel Miragem.

The conference will be limited to 84 participants, divided between the 3 regions. As in the past, senior experienced analysts will be assigned to small groups, each consisting of North American, South American and European colleagues, and over the course of the weekend, the groups will meet for six sessions, lasting about 2 hours each. Each participant is requested to present clinical material from an ongoing psychoanalysis, with at least two sessions in detail. Background material should be kept to a minimum, and the presentation should allow ample time for a group discussion to occur. The language of the meeting is English, and each participant is requested to bring six typewritten copies of his/her presentation for distribution to the group members. An evaluation plenary session will conclude the proceedings on Sunday morning.

Registration to cover the conference cost will be 310 Euros. The rates for accommodations at the Hotel Miragem are 150 Euros for a single and 190 E for a double room per night.
